This delicate annual is related to parsley, and occasionally called “gourmet’s parsley”. Commonly used in soups, with chicken, seafood and veggies. Very popular in France for many cooking applications, including omelets, salads and as one of the ingredients in Fines Herbs.
Like other dried herbal leaves, Chervil weighs very little per leaf. You get a lot of volume for less weight, as opposed to dried spice powders. The weight might vary slightly in our standard spice jar depending on how fluffy the dried leaves are, which can change during the year. Our standard spice jar holds 1 oz of dried spice powders, like paprika, but only holds 0.3 to 0.4 oz of dried leaves. Net Wt. 0.3 to 0.4 oz.
