Like the Nurse Shark, this green Jalapeno sauce has a mellow smooth heat, but huge flavor. Guajillo Chile Powder has a fruity and complex smoky flavor profile with a mild heat range. They are wonderful and used in many Mexican dishes and as a base for sauces and salsa. This chile is for creating deeper flavors, not heat. Add cayenne, ghost or de arbol chiles to spice up dishes using guajillo. 2,500 to 5,000 on the Scoville scale. Net Wt 1 oz.
Pasilla Negro Chile Powder is a dried chilaca chile pepper. It is a long and narrow member of species Capsicum annuum. Pasilla literally translates as “little raisin”, named for the pepper’s wrinkled dark skin. The flavor profile is similar to ancho chile, and you get hints of smoky cocoa and raisins, underneath the earthy sweetness. In addition, this richly flavored chile is pretty mild, and ranges from 1,000 to 2,500 Scoville heat units. We love using it in chili recipes, and it is a great addition to taco seasoning. The aroma is really pleasant, and it gives a nice depth of flavor to many recipes. Base Net Wt. 1 oz. (in jar).
